1. Who is agreeing to what
D-You accounts are created and held by a parent or legal guardian, who must be an adult. By creating an account you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of any athlete you add, and you accept these terms on your own behalf and on the athlete's behalf. The athlete is never asked to agree to anything: they cannot create an account, cannot sign in on their own, and never receive email from us. You are responsible for the account, for the accuracy of what you enter, and for the people you choose to invite as verifiers.
Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect and how it is handled; it is part of the deal you are agreeing to.
2. What the product is — and is not
D-You is an educational product. It shows where a young athlete is on their own growth curve, how their performance sits against published, named standards, and — on the paid tier — sourced training education, self-serve tracking, and progress over time.
It is not:
- Medical advice. Nothing here is diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for a physician, and the product never recommends a body weight. If anything about food, sleep, training, or your athlete's body is a source of stress, the product's safety resources are free and never gated — and a clinician beats an app every time.
- Coaching or an individualized prescription. The training library is educational content with named sources. The product tells you what the research supports and lets you choose; it does not prescribe loads, does not use percent-of-max programming for minors, and every routine's stop-rules override every plan.
- Recruiting advice or a talent verdict. See section 3.
3. Projections and benchmarks are estimates, never predictions
- The projected adult height is a range with stated uncertainty (about 9 of 10 athletes with the same inputs land inside it), computed by a published method whose limitations are disclosed alongside it. It is an estimate, not a promise, and it is never a target.
- Percentiles are positions against named reference populations, shown with their source.
- Division benchmarks are distances to published NCAA championship qualifying standards — the bar to be selected for a national championship meet, which is far faster than the bar to swim on a college roster. A distance from a championship cut is not a statement about making a team, being recruited, or an athlete's future in the sport, and the product will never tell you the odds of playing college or professional sports. It is incapable of knowing them.
4. Subscriptions, billing, cancellation, refunds
- The free tier is genuinely free, permanently: the full four-slot card, unlimited re-measures, the parent dashboard and its controls, verifier invites, and all safety content.
- The paid tier is per athlete: one subscription unlocks one athlete's paid features. Two athletes need two subscriptions, each with its own status shown in the billing panel.
- Prices: $4.99 per week, $9.99 per month, or $49.99 per year (the annual price works out to about $4.17/month — the comparison shown before purchase is arithmetic, not a discount gimmick). Prices are shown before any purchase.
- Free trial: the annual plan includes a 3-day free trial. It converts to a paid annual subscription unless you cancel before it ends. The weekly and monthly plans have no trial and charge immediately.
- No free trial. The subscription starts when you pay and charges immediately. There is no trial period ending, and nothing converts silently into a charge.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly or yearly — until cancelled. Renewal receipts and upcoming-renewal notices are sent by Stripe, our payment processor.
- Cancel anytime. "Manage or cancel subscriptions" in the parent dashboard opens the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, you keep access until then, and there is no retention flow in the way.
- 7-day refund, no questions asked. If the paid tier isn't right, tell us within 7 days of a charge (support@dyou.pro) and we refund it.
- Payments are processed by Stripe; card details are entered on Stripe's pages and never touch our servers. If we change prices, existing subscriptions will be notified before any change affects a renewal.
5. Physical activity, and assumption of risk
Training carries inherent risk. The paid tier's routines are youth-appropriate, sourced, and conservative by design — technical and bodyweight work with explicit stop-rules on every movement — but no written program can see your athlete. By using the training features you agree that:
- You are responsible for your athlete's medical clearance for physical activity, and for supervision appropriate to their age.
- Stop-rules override every plan. Pain is a signal, not a rep. The product says this on every session; it is also a term of use.
- You assume the risks inherent in physical training undertaken based on educational content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for injuries arising from exercise your athlete performs.
6. Verifier seats
Inviting a verifier is free. The parent chooses the person and vouches for their role — that is the identity check, and the product's word for what verifiers do is "attest", never "audit". Verifier links reach exactly one athlete's claimed measurements and nothing else; every attestation is attributed by name and logged for the parent; the parent can revoke a seat at any time. If you are a verifier, you agree to attest only what you know first-hand.
7. Acceptable use
Enter information about your own athlete honestly; don't attempt to access other families' data; don't misuse verifier links; don't use the service to harass anyone. We may suspend accounts that do. You may cancel and delete your data at any time (deletion is in the parent dashboard and takes effect immediately).
8. Content and ownership
The card's underlying methods are published science, credited where shown. The product's content — routines, education, copy, design — is ours or our licensors', and is licensed to you for your family's use, not for republication. Your family's data is yours: you grant us only the license needed to operate the service for you (compute the card, show it to you, and so on), consistent with the Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers and limits [PENDING LEGAL REVIEW]
The service is provided "as is" and "as available"; we disclaim implied warranties to the extent the law allows. Estimates can be wrong; that is why they carry stated uncertainty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. [Counsel: this section, governing law, and dispute resolution need your drafting — see the review notes.]
10. Termination
You can stop using the service, cancel subscriptions, and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; if we ever discontinue the service, we will give parents notice and a window to export or delete their data, and the retention policy's deletion obligations survive.
11. Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will notify the parent email on the account and post the change before it takes effect. Continued use after notice is acceptance.
